The next Gen in Sub Rescue

We proudly present the 4th Generation of Submarine Rescue System from JFD.

Pushing the boundaries of possibility; Agile addresses the biggest challenges faced by Navies globally.

Advanced system design optimised for rapid and flexible mobilisation.

JFD - 40 years of experience

JFD is the world leader in supply of Submarine Rescue equipment and In Support Services to some of the World’s largest and most notable Navies including NATO, Australia, Singapore and India. Our mission, which has stood since the company’s inception in 1983 by the late Roger Chapman, is to enhance the safety of those who spend their lives subsea, and we are committed to working alongside our customers to help address their current challenges.

A big part of what we do is

manufacture systems and maintain them...

The Agile design considers both of these requirements based on in-depth knowledge and experience.

Design Drivers

Design Through

Experience

Agile is the evolution through JFD’s 40 years working within Submarine Rescue. We maintain and operate the World’s most notable Submarine Rescue systems and have dedicated the time to understand and overcome the challenges.

Rapid Mobilisation to Vessels

of Opportunity (VOO's)

Reduces and simplifies embarkation phase onto a vessel through concurrent sub-assembly, reduced ship interfaces and optimised process implementation. Maximises suitable VOOs to host the Submarine Rescue System.

A completely Modular and Containerised system

Containerised to increase flexibility and configuration options for transport and embarkation; enhances ability to respond efficiently to any DISSUB incident.

Future-Proofed

with the latest technology

Incorporating proven state-of-the-art technology; Agile enhances operational performance through reliability and safety. The design is ‘future-proofed’ ready for advances in automation and other emerging technologies.

A profound improvement in transportability

The first system capable of transport within a commercial Aircraft significantly increasing air transport options in the time of need. Road transport options also enhanced through optimised system footprint.

Simplification

Reduced complexity to improve core operations, increase system maintainability and provided improved resistance to obsolescence.

Design Through Experience

No other organisation can boast the number of hours dived, mobilisations and exercises completed.

All this experience goes into the design to provide an optimal, low-risk solution.

The Vehicle

The AGILE SRV has been inspired by the same drivers we used for our 3rd

Generation SRS but we have taken them a step further…

Prioritising time to first rescue

With 72 hours of emergency life support on board a submarine, the biggest challenge is ensuring a timely rescue.

Fast response, mobilisation and action is essential to make a rescue possible.

Agile offers a new solution to meet the narrow time requirements.

"Agile is the first system capable of transport within a commercial Aircraft significantly increasing air transport options in the time of need."

Road transport options are also enhanced throughout an optimised system footprint.

Commercial Aircraft

The Agile system's weight and dimensions are optimised to be suitable for more vessels including commercial aircraft

*** Limited availability relates to current geopolitical issues.

The compact AGILE system is optimized to maximise the number of available suitable aircraft for transportation.

The AGILE system is unique in its ability to be easily transported via commercial aircraft which provides significantly increased transport options.

Minimises Trucks

A more compact system requires less logistically, resulting in a simplified and Agile solution to a DISSUB emergency.

Every aspect of the rescue has been carefully considered for optimal performance.

Future-Proofed with
the Latest Technology

Incorporating proven state-of-the-art technology; Agile enhances operational performance through reliability and safety. The design is ‘future-proofed’ ready for advances in automation and other emerging technologies.

Technology

The Agile System incorporates technology transferred from the Commercial Diving industry and JFD brands Divex and Fathom Systems enabling enhanced atmosphere monitoring, environmental conditioning and hyperbaric monitoring capability.

Agile offers a no-compromise solution which takes the best of our proven Third Generation Rescue System and enhances technology, transportation and mobilisation capability to directly address one of the biggest rescue challenges faced by Navies globally; getting to the DISSUB in time.
